Bleigießen, Molybdomancy Metal “Lead Pouring” Metallurgy, Lead Free! Chemistry Sample + Spoon!
The Tradition: Bleigiessen which literally translates to “lead pouring” is a New Year's Eve or Silvester tradition in Germany, Austria and Switzerland is a traditional activity held at the New Year to predict the fortune of the coming year. Families and friends will gather around, melt a small piece of lead on a spoon over a candle and then drop the molten lead into a bowl of cool water. The different resulting shapes are identified based on their resemblance to any of various objects, animals, and structures, each with its own interpretation. EU regulations passed in 2018 limit the sale of toxic lead-containing products, including molybdomancy kits. Alternatives involve dripping molten wax or tin rather than lead into water. In the Czech Republic molybdomancy is one of the traditional Christmas traditions. -This Sample does NOT contain lead but instead is made from a safer bismuth alloy alternative. -They are very easy to melt 400-550F range in a metal spoon over a Candle. -Molybdomancy (from Ancient Greek μόλυβδος (molybdos), "lead" and -mancy) is a technique of divination using molten metal. Typically, molten lead or tin is dropped into water. It can be found as a tradition in various cultures, including Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Germany, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Switzerland, Czechia and Turkey. Some versions have been found to have potentially harmful effects on human health. This is high quality yet cheap affordable Low melting bismuth alloy.
What you will receive: You will receive a 4ml glass vial of high quality Bleigiessen, Molybdomancy metal, kurşun dökme, or segula that is in a needle, bead or blob like form as seen in pictures. Instruction Card and a high quality pouring spoon if selected. (The starting shape does not affect the end results)
Instructions: Place metal onto spoon. Place the spoon over a lit candle. Wait for metal to melt.
